Connecting TP-Link RE330 extender to EE Smart Hub

I have followed all the instructions but cannot connect.

My WiFi network recognises the extender, but not the password. This is supposed to be the same as my network password, but will not work.

it's been suggested that it could be something to do with the EE Router and possibly needing to verify the password, but I'm not sure about this.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

this is now sorted. I contacted TP Link help and they sorted it.

To be honest I'm not sure what the issue was, the extender, router or me, but it now works ok

Thanks for the help replies

 this is it.

I'm using the Tether app. The extender appears to be on seems to be on  the network list.

I've also tried connecting with WPS, but nothing happens

@colloB RE330 depending on which Smarthub you are using as you do not say, but the RE goes as high as WPA2-PSK mode, so have a look at what is set on your Router with the SSID you are trying to connect to!

Hi colloB, do you recommend the TP-Link RE330 ?

Im looking for Wi-Fi extender for dead spot in our conservatory plus easy to set up for a senior citizen !

I asked EE for their cost of supplying one, I was quoted £10 a month !

not sure if that price was ongoing for the duration of using the EE Wi-Fi extender ? A bit pricy

thank you.

Hello

It's working fine.

As you can see from the thread above I had a few issues installing originally, although it should be straightforward.

TP Link helped me get it sorted eventually.

Hope this helps

@WelshLady1948 Say what model of EE Router you have few Tp-Links may cause less problems, the RE330 is a bit long in the tooth now!

I have smart hub plus

thank you for any advice 🙂
