I have just signed into my EE broadband account to see how long is remaining on my contact and it says ceased since the 10th Feb, I have had no emails to let me know it was ending but I still have wifi & still paying
do I set up a new contact?

It surely didn't say "ceased"? More likely "out of contract" meaning that the min. commitment period had expired.
These BB contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the non-discounted price on a rolling 30-days' notice basis until you explicitly migrate, cancel or upgrade.
