Can I specify a broadband connection date?

My current deal ends midnight 7th August. Can I specify my EE connection date as 8th August?

Hi. Just wanted to thank you both for the advice. I cancelled the cancellation order and am going to be transferred across to ee for the deal I want. Someone experienced and nerdy picked up the phone this time which was very helpful.
