Broadband fault

I have had a fault now on my broadband for 6 days they have diagnosed it as a network fault which the engineer located on the second day but was unable to repair I suspect last job on a Saturday too much bother . I have had no further updates we live in a built up area not out in the country I see there vans everywhere but there is no urgency to repair the fault. I left BT years ago for exactly the same reason looks like nothing has changed this is the second fault in two months but can’t opt out unless the fault persists for 30 days has anyone else had such poor service?
