Broadband disconnection every morning around 08:30 (3 to 5 minutes)

Greetings,

We moved house in to the DT11 area just over 3 weeks ago.

Since the service began our EE broadband hub has disconnected around 08:30 every morning for approximately 5 minutes. (Flashing orange light) so it takes down the internet connectivity from everything in the house.  (TV boxes and iPads etc)

We’re on the maximum speed available to us of 67 meg.  EE advised the problem was cleared about a week ago but it’s still occurring.  Is there some sort of auto reboot that could be within the hub / router?

Thanks in advance.

@Poz101 Some off the EE Hubs are in a FW update, you need to look at that post to see if yours is on the list, time wise always the same then get back onto EE, there may be exchange work going on forcing your connection to be dropped in that old copper fttc connection. From the pinned post below. If you say what Hub you have will post what the latest is currently.

EE Hub firmware versions - The EE Community

It’s a Smart Hub SH31B

@Poz101 Currently at FW: r4.26.3-R-1923144-PROD-83002 and the gui is at App version 3.14.5 12/06/2026 OP Posted

but going to somewhat unknown yet but like FW: r5.16.1-R-xxxxxxx-PROD-83002 and the gui is at App Version 3.17.5 xx/xx/2026

https://192.168.1.254 hub manager to your 6 Plus hub or displayed if you happen to be a EE app user and that is working.

Failed updates can have a similar effect like you have, but EE CS is were you need especially from earlier in your post saying all fixed now, something is NOT fixed....

@Poz101 - I'd be v.surprised if it's scheduled rebooting, it would be daft to do it at 8.30am when a tonne of people are getting up to go about their daily business.

The regularity is interesting though. Anything switch states or kick in near to, or in your house around that time? I'm guessing we can rule out heating at this time of year, but think anything electrical/mechanical. There's a whole bunch of stuff that can interfere with DSL signals (I remember a bizarre case aeons ago where somebody's line would drop whenever a Pendolino train passed on a railway near to their house!)

The last few days have been incident free.  We’d also had issues with the TV reception freezing  and pixelating through the EE box in the evenings.  Thankfully these appear to have been sorted.
