Broadband Activation

Have just transferred across from  BT. The activation date is 4th March. There is a problem with the delivery of the router etc in that  EE say they have sent it but tracking says the courier is still waiting for it; it should have arrived today. EE have today sent a second parcel that is due to arrive on the 4th but I  am not optimistic 🙂 Anyway, if EE activate the transfer from BT on the 4th and the kit has not arrived will I still be able to access the service via my  BT Home Hub 2? I am hoping it will be an almost invisible switch over.

Thank you

I assume that you are moving to Full Fibre with EE, If so, I don't think the BT HH2 copes with that but the BT SH2 does if that's what you mean.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I am on BT Halo 900 which is full fibre.  Yes it is an SH2 so switch over should be seamless I guess.

@ColinGr Yes fully transparent the BT Hub works on the EE service with zero for you to do! Just keep your BT Smarthub2 until you are happy the EE Equipment you are getting works as you need....

Thank you
Colin
