I am a current EE customer for all think mobile but I left EE broadband to switch to BT as only BT offered the faster speeds at the time. I want to come back now which I can see I can do but why can I not upgrade to the faster speeds at the same time.? Also, why isn’t it possible to have a landline with 1.6? I know a landline is old school but the household insist on keeping it.

@Nathan_H1 It's one off the computer say's NO when moving from BT to EE, 1st NO 1.6Gb/s package, 2nd was landline DV is NOT available on that package, and 3rd was EE TV if required also until EE sort out DV/TV side.
With the BT to EE move, you will automatically have the Gigabit package as the max speed, some have managed to get over that hump, but it will be the BT Guide that you will more than likely need to speak to and see if they can do, DV required then NO 1.6Gb/s package as yet....

Thanks. I guess it’s good to know it’s not just me but I’m prepared to increase the bill so it seems odd that they would turn additional business away. Perhaps someone from the EE Community Team can advise if there is a technical reason why a landline isn’t available on the 1.6Gbps. As it stands, I may as well wait until my BT contract expires in June and then consider my options rather than migrate now and have the same but locked in for another 12-24 months.
