Blink sync module won't connect to new EE hub

Hi - Just received our new EE router and we have been moved from BT as they are no longer going to be doing broadband in the future and it's all being switched over to EE.

My blink sync module (for our CCTV) keeps saying the wrong password and I've tried many times. Tried moving well away from the router but still says wrong password. All other devices connected no problem.

Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Officially the EE hub isn't supposed to be live until tomorrow but when Oliver in all other devices connected and working fine.

we were happy with BT and this is a real headache!

plugged the old BT router in and it connected first time to Blink sync module. I've raised a support ticket with Blink so hopefully they might have an answer.

Thanks in advance - Andrew

kind regards Andrew

Thank you for sharing this, it worked a treat! Much obliged!

Spent hours of frustration with this same issue. Tried everything on the Blink website and nothing worked. Your solution had it sorted in 5 minutes. Thank you.

Thank you so much.  Been trying for days to resolve this issue even raised tickets with Blink that no one replied to.  Tried the 10 second fix and hey presto they are back on line 😊😊😊👍

Glad you have it sorted.

Hi everyone - You also have to turn of the Wi-Fi 6 mode as the Blink Camera system only uses 2.5 and 5 mode. Hope this helps.

Hi Andrewkuk

We received an update to our old BT system, a new EE router and box. After disconnecting the old BT system I tried for two frustrating days trying to connect the Blink  cameras. After putting in the EE password, which would not be accepted., switching the new router on and off, re-setting and finally disconnecting the Blink Sync . .On trying to reinstall the Blink Sync module Still the same wrong password message came up.  I saw your solution and I am so happy to say within ten minutes I had the system up and running again. Thank you so much.

Kind regards

Thank you. After hours of failed attempts this unplug, ten seconds, etc, worked for me also.
Turns out the SYNC box needed a Firmware update for some inexplicable reason...

Tried this and it didn’t solve the issue for me, still says incorrect password

Hi, try it again exactly as described. I think it took me a couple of tries. Failing that I guess its a new unit 😞

Hi - You have to turn off wifi 6 on the router settings to make the Blink cameras work. I take it Blink won't make them wifi 6 compatible so disabling it is the only current solution. You have to access your router via the instructions on the router password section.

I hope this helps.
