Best extender and adapter for Smart Hub Plus

Hello

I have recently installed Smart Hub Plus, with the router downstairs, which the engineer recommended. While I am getting WIFI, my smart TV upstairs (Samsung - not old) cannot connect to the WIFI. There is also one room upstairs that has poor signal issue. The EE person on the phone suggested I purchase BT powerline adapter (from Amazon), and what I want to know is, will this help with poor signal issue in the other room, or will I need an extender as well? If I need an extender, which do you suggest?

Many thanks.

@Kae2024 Which package did you purchase from EE?

Powerline depends on your electrical home wiring, but these models do work, not the fastest should be ok for TV and casual wi-fi browsing, would recommend connecting your TV on the ethernet side. Take a look. Amazon link to cover your 2 rooms. Units do require to be plugged into the mains sockets. DO NOT PLUG INTO EXTENSION cables, speed drops dramatically, faster units are shown on the link also with passthrough sockets if those are more suitable.

Thank you for replying.  I have the Full Fibre Gigabit Essentials package. I had a look at the Amazon link you sent me, does it matter which mbps I should buy, or do I need to match it to the same mbps as my package?

@Kae2024 You do not have to match the mb/s, figures are all from various generations of speeds through the ages, about connecting types etc its all about what free sockets you have close by your equipment. Essentials package does not include the additional Smart wi-fi booster package that's why i asked incase you could have had some units from EE. Once you check and decide you may only need one matching pair to cover all the upstairs on wi-fi so do keep that in mind. HTH
