BT Migration

Hi everyone,

I've just completed my order to move from BT Broadband (with TV) to EE and I'm awaiting my EE kit being delivered.

I am a little peeved at BT how they have overlooked their customers when it comes to kit, the Smarthub is old tech now and that is partly my reason for moving, EE are getting all the shiny new stuff.

With BT encouraging people to migrate, I don't suppose it's occurred to EE to setup a help page, or how to guide for previous BT customers? even a FAQ.

From the correspondence I've had (mostly automated) it looks like they hope it'll just be plug and play.

I have several family laptops, tablets, phones, and smart devices that will all need moving to the new router and I'm toying with the idea of just renaming the wifi and password to match the BT Smarthub 2 see how that goes.

I do have a query as to what happens with BT Virus protect (Norton) and the EE equivalent and will try and scour the forums for an answer. 😊

wonder if you could help,

I was moved over to EE from BT , for 150m fibre, and when moved across , I was told that everything will be moved over including Norton Antivirus, I had to change the PC , and when i tried to find/install Norton , from BT.COM , I could bnot find the Norton , and when asked the quesion on AI , it tells me that you will need to logon to EE , that is fine and it works. but when triying to find Norton , t comes under different name , but let you in but it NOW asks for monthy subscription ?? has anyone come across this issue , if so any work arround please?
