Amazon Fire Tv new wifi cannot connect to EE

I have EE wifi.

I have not been able to log my Amazon Toshiba Fire TV to EE wifi as there is EE cookies message which does not show fully. It says click ok if you accept cookies. Nothing happens. This is preventing me from logging into EE wifi for the first time on this tv. It says scroll down etc to click ok on the cookies box, but nothing happens when I click ok. My phone is on EE wifi and that is fine. The Amazon fire tv is registered on my Amazon account. It is just the cookies box with white background that will not move, so preventing me from logging in. It also says connect to EE wifi but not connected to the internet. Yet I can connect to the internet on my phone.

Hi I have reset the Firestick and the page appeared as before no changes, I have also tried toggling between Cursor control or select and that got somehwere but then crashed back to the start. EE have made a real bodge of this for the Firestick as it is never an issue with the computer the pad or the phone. Any other suggestions welcomed

Hi there @Cooper041023

Thanks for coming back to us.

If the reset has not resolved this for you, please get in touch with our technical support guides who will get this looked into and let you know what is needed.

Thanks 🙂

Leanne.

Thank you Leanne the problem appears to be the way the EE team have created the log on page for TV whilst using EE Wifi. In these modern days I can understand issues arising but this problem has been going on for a while now and surely they can re code it?

When the Cookies screen appears it is all there apart from the box to tick, it does not matter what screen aspect I choose it is the same issue, no tick box.

Also when manage too get to log in the select option on the control does not work so here you have to go to cursor and use that to select the right box and then use select option on device to log in.

I am in no way an IT expert but as computer phone and pad all have no issues it appears to me that some configuring needs to happen for TV

I also need to add the reset of the Fire TV stick did not make any difference

Thanks for coming back to me and for the feedback @Cooper041023

I would certainly suggest getting in touch and the team will run some troubleshooting and if needed they can raise a support ticket to the relevant team.

Leanne.

Hi Leanne I am able to sign on at recieve EE wifi at my friends house using the method others have spoken about on this site which is to switch to cursor and then go via that way, annoyingly but doable.

As this has been mentioned in several threads and by several people now I think it would be best to come from you to report this issue as will have more impact. I am supporting a friend with cancer and do not need any extra responsibilities. So please feel free to make a report quoting the threads on here that have raised firestick issues and EE wifi.

Hi there @Cooper041023

I completely understand not needing extra responsibilities whilst supporting your friend and appreciate the feedback.

Have you been in touch with Amazon to see if they are aware of this happening with the Firestick?

Leanne.

I have not as did not see it was their issue, the issue to using EE wifi as it works with firestick on wifi connected to my home broadband but not easy when away using EE wifi. I dont know who is responsible for the boxes or the preseentation but as they are the same as the boxes that appear on my computer (apple) my pad (Samsung) and my phone (Samsung) and all are ok meaning correct aspects etc I believe that it is EE's issue
