I have EE wifi.
I have not been able to log my Amazon Toshiba Fire TV to EE wifi as there is EE cookies message which does not show fully. It says click ok if you accept cookies. Nothing happens. This is preventing me from logging into EE wifi for the first time on this tv. It says scroll down etc to click ok on the cookies box, but nothing happens when I click ok. My phone is on EE wifi and that is fine. The Amazon fire tv is registered on my Amazon account. It is just the cookies box with white background that will not move, so preventing me from logging in. It also says connect to EE wifi but not connected to the internet. Yet I can connect to the internet on my phone.

I just called EE.
I have booked an engineer to come out to assess. It is free to just check what can be done with what is here. Have placed an order and was told that there is no obligation nor payment if I cannot go ahead with anything.
I will keep you and others posted as to the outcome. The appointment is 1 month away. Hoping a cancellation will arise, but if not, I have to accept that.
Thank you @Garethrprice @XRaySpeX @JimM11 and others who tried to help with ideas. Everyone contributed.

@Karen207 - seems you may have changed approach since your original post, however I'm wondering exactly where that cookie message was appearing? Was it embedded within the main TV navigation/Wi-Fi setup pages themselves?
When the TV is purportedly connected but you can't get anywhere, is there a pre-installed browser application you can try opening? I think it may be called 'Silk' on Amazon fire devices. Curious to know if you have any more success accepting the cookie declaration that way? 🤔

Hopefully you’ve managed to get internet by now but I had this same problem tonight. It turns out the way around it is to scroll all the way down then keep switching between cursor mode and normal until it shows the ok button!

@bobpullen Apologies for the slow response. I must have missed the notification about a message.
I did try this, but unsure if I did it correctly.
Will try again soon and reply.

Yes.
Thank you.

Hiya, I've just had this happen to me. Came on here for help, couldn't find any, then sorted it out myself.
There should be EE WiFi & EE (with the individual router pass) eg: EE-A11A11A
Click on the one with the full pass that's relevant to you & enter the password on the back of the router. You'll be good to go

Hi Karen did you sort out this EE wifi? I am having same issues with taking the firestick away to my friends, I had registered and sorted the firestick out with my BT Broadband and then took it to my friends and it worked fine the 1st time putting it on. All was as normal as with phone or pad I also use on EE wifi.
Then turned it off and next day had same issue as you describe, I have changed the aspect ratio on TV and still cannot see the box to accept cookies. There is no control as the Firestick requires Internet and so cannot find settings or anything to change even if knew what to change. I have Firestick on my phone and my pad which are connected to EE wifi but they say no Fire TV found.
Regards

Hi Mustrum I am now having the same issues as Karen, I had my firestick set up at home with BT Broadband, then came away to a friends house and the 1st night it worked fine as could see the box to accept all cookies, then used it that night and turned it off. When re started the TV the EE box came up but a different ratio aspect as now cannot see the select box. I have re set the Firestick and it made no difference the same Box came up with no tick box. Have you any other ideas to help me please

@Cooper041023 Have a look at the first pahe on this thread, I posted a link to an Amazon Help page to reset the Firestick. Give that a go.

- EE App will not link to my hub/router in Broadband & Landline
- Xbox connection in Broadband & Landline
- Why can I no longer get a 5G signal in part of my house where the Smart Hub is? in Mobile Broadband
