Hey
We're having issues with our 2.4ghz continually dropping, so none of our Lamps, camera or Alexa work, nothing's changed or been added etc, spoke to Customer service 5 days ago who did a reset and raised a complaint, it all worked after that and now it's stopped again for no apparent reason, any ideas? Do we need a new hub?
We have Fibre to the door so it's normally super good and consistent and was all working brilliantly when we had BT BB but the EE BB has been less reliable

@EmC154 What hub are you using, see links below. Only for the EE Smart Hub 6 + and the 7 Pro versions that have been FW updated starting around the 25th May onwards...

And if you fall into this? See the @bobpullen Answered method for the quick fix!

@EmC154 Are you using the Main and the Compatible networks on the 2.4Ghz band, when did you change the Hub from the BT one to the EE one? Would also power off the Hub for five minutes after you have applied and saved the changes so that they take effect....

Hi, just retrying and changing the password on the compatible network, so will see how that goes
I think it's been about a 6/7months since we went from BT to EE, and it wasn't a great experience, it was previously consistently reliable and since it's been dropping regularly both the 5gh, and now this with the 2.4, it's really frustrating

@EmC154 Be careful then, the FW update that has been applied may not be the whole cause off your current issue's and you could be having a Hub issue.....
It's only been since the FW update that relates to SOME user's with issues so not sure if it is at all widespread. Below is how the FW updates have kind off went so worth a look see what you have.
Do you have any external booster's / range extenders / AP's etc to the EE Hub?
Do not have any EE Equipment, but do see if the Comp can be set fixed channel also, if so have the Main and the Comp on the same first, if not stable select opposites. ie one on channel 1 and the other on 6 or 11.

It's continuing to drop, called CS again and they think it's the FW which is the cause, but waiting to hear back post engineer review, but not sure what's gonna happen to resolve
We do have one extender as the WiFi doesn't reach our extension

@EmC154 Not sure were you are at, the fault has been found and EE are now rolling out the new FW update to the hubs Below is for the EE Smart Hub 6+ version only, little bit unsure what is correct until OP post's back may be a typo but here is the info currently shown below. so its either ending 44- or 45-.....

Last line off the official from EE..... Also is your wifi extender one from EE to match your EE Hub, if so would expect that to get a FW update also, needs to be looked at with the web manager interface if not shown app wise?
