sim only upgrade to handset

If i have moved to a 24-month SIM only plan from a handset plan can i move back to a handset plan at any time during their 24-month contract with no penalties.

Hi @AndyBoz.
You can upgrade to a new phone after three months. Or if you wait six months, you can get £20 off one of the latest phones.

I'm a little late to this thread, but I'll just add that the response from Katie is - I'm sure - what EE's C/S briefings explain.
Unfortunately, the published SIM-only price guides - the current version is available here - contradict this.
At the bottom of page-5 of this PDF, "customers who have moved to a SIM-only plan from a handset plan can move back to handset plan at any time"
