My Samsung s20 5g updated this morning and now I get a "not registered on network" pop up when I try to make a call. I have checked the imei number is still present but need further help to resolve this please.

Hi @andy304
Have you tried restarting your phone?
Are there any network issues reported on the coverage & status checker ?

Tried several restart sequences, with the sim in and out , no network issues as we have another identical device on the same network which also updated but is working fine.

If you're able to access the phone's menus, you could try changing the network mode from 5G, to see whether connecting to a different radio technology (i.e. 2G, 3G, 4G) makes any difference.
Otherwise I would then suggest swapping SIMs between devices, in order to eliminate whether it's your phone that's the issue or the device.

Good plan, but I will have to wait until the other handset comes back later today!

Hi @andy304
Thanks for coming to the community.
Let us know how you get on after trying the SIM in another device.
Thanks.
Leanne 🙂

I seem to remember the same issue occurred after the last major update and a temporary sim swop fixed it. I am just perplexed that it only happens with this device and not the other one!

I see @andy304
It would be good to know how you get on and if the SIM swap resolves this for you.
Leanne.

OK update time, I swopped the sim cards between the 2 devices then swopped them back and my handset now functions but surely there has got to be another fix for this issue as not everyone has access to another phone and simcard!
