If I hand in a broken phone which can't factory reset as the screen is completely black and broken, when I hand it in for my replacement phone will EE factory reset the phone for me? I am unable to factory reset the phone myself and the only other way for me to delete everything myself is to smash it up with a hammer.

Once our insurance team get the phone back they will reset it back to factory settings as soon as possible, as long as the phone is able to be salvaged.
If it can't be salvaged, it will be disposed of appropriately.
