iPhone won’t connect to London Underground WiFi

roll_vt

Hi

My iPhone 11 Pro is flat refusing to connect to the LU WiFi service. My previous handsets all worked fine, but it just won’t work now.

I have requested a new password by texting 9527 several times, but the phone still won’t auto connect & when I try the manual route, I get an error once I’ve entered the password. I’ve also carried out a Reset Network Settings on the phone to no avail!

Any ideas/suggestions welcome..

Hi @roll_vt,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Your iPhone should connect automatically, without the need for a password.

Are you only having this issue at one particular station?

James

Hi James

No, unfortunately the issue is happening at any station where I try to connect to the wifi.

I’m no expert on this and think you will need to contact tech support, but, do try:

reset network settings .. you will need to renter your WiFi passwords once though.

does it work?

ok, try this:

In WiFi settings see if auto join hotspot is set to never, ask to join or automatic.

try this: switch to never and then force restart the iPhone. Then set to automatic and restart again. Does it now work?

I hope one of these helps, but if they don’t contact tech support as you may need a little network wriggle I can’t provide 🙂

Hi. I’m having the same issue since last Saturday. The handset (iPhone SE second generation) has been fine connecting fine since I bought it last summer. Now I’m being asked for a password. I’ve spoken to the help desk and they told me to clear the safari browser cookies. It’s still not doing anything

Hi @MDW70

Thanks for coming to the community.

Your iPhone should connect automatically, you should not need to enter a password.

Does this happen at one particular station?

Thanks, Leanne 🙂

Hello. No it’s happening on stations on the Piccadilly and Victoria lines. I explained this to the help desk
