iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

 

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

 

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

 

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

Spent two hours on web-chat.

 

just to be told it’s a first come first serve basis ( BS ).

 

It was a manager as it was in his title an i got passed around like four times.

 

He simply stated whatever time frame it’s showing that cant be forwarded or made a priority to be bumped up the queue.

The whole ordeal is pathetic.

 

They offered me £15 credit which I immediately rejected then offered £30 which i took from continued escalation from unable incompetent EE agents that couldn’t do there job.

 

So unfortunately everyone has to wait an i won’t  get mine until between 2-7th of November 🤦‍♂️🙃🤔

😫yes I’ve spent some stupid amount of time on web chat. Various different stories about dates etc. 
now no clearer to knowing when nine is due. Can’t track it and no email from EE. 
I have  escalated mine to a complaint but have had one text saying complaint closed and then a following one saying we are investigating your complaint. 

Who knows when mine will come. 

Is anyone else having issues getting through on web chat? I’m trying to raise a complaint but can’t even get connected as any time I choose one of the reasons for contacting, it tells me to call 😤

That’s because of the high traffic.

 

Imagine them being swarmed from a bunch of disgruntled customers.

 

Just keep trying and select looking to leave EE or i’m a business partner.

Which web chat did you use? I could only find the make a complaint one.  

I’ve been trying customer service. I’ve selected all the options to start a chat and always get the message that asks you to call. I can’t get through at all, even though it says the chat is available.

It has those options.

 

Use the top left down menu then hit contact us.

 

I’m assuming you’re signed in also.

 

It should display customer service chat & technical support chat.

 

Choose customer service.

You are wasting your time asking, they will have NO clue and you'll just get generic answers.

 

The same happens every single year, they never learn. They blame Apple for not sending enough, first come first served, etc etc...  It's almost like a lottery though.

 

I hope you get it soon!

Did you try using your mail instead of mobile number to track?  I got the same message as above if I used my mobile, but with my email the order would show.

 

Seems like they ballsed up a lot of pre-orders and they were stuck somewhere, then by the time they realised, the stock had been allocated to other pre-orders that did make it through.

@sleepy Either I use my email or phone number, I still have the same results. This is getting very annoying . And CS is useless.
