iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

 

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

 

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

 

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

Last time I looked on apple, they said the delivery date would be like 2-3 weeks delivery..

its going to take 14 days spoke to apple directly people who ordered it from them directly are also waiting so it looks like bad stock levels due to the high demand

Unsure as to why EE couldn’t of told folk it was out of stock, and made it unable to “pre-order”

Further update: 

 

My phone is with DPD (I received notification on their app) and will be delivered tomorrow at a time I chose. (the DPD ref is the same as the EE tracking ref I was given) Previously this didn't work, I'm assuming its only valid once DPD has received the phone.

 

As I was told to be in today raised a complaint with EE and was given a £30 credit to my first bill for the inconvenience as a good will gesture.

I’m threatening to cancel because of how ee is handling the situation and communicating to their customers. I am not an Apple customer I am an ee customer. I also don’t appreciate their costs for the plans. O2 had the same plan for £30 cheaper and I had better service with o2. Not too mention how they are treating their customers who are struggling during this crisis. Super glad I can visit the nhs website for free. It really keeps my mind at ease and entertained while I’m stuck in lockdown. 👌🏽

Contacted live support saying it was in stock. Was on for the whole time then got disconnected 

 

I then called to sort it out to find my order was cancelled and they tried to order the iPhone 12 instead of the iPhone 12 pro 

 

I've had to reorder and told it would be 21 days

You can’t compare direct apple customers who ordered through the website to the wait time of EE’s as it’s completely separate.

 

They aren’t fulfilling EE customer orders. They’re sending stock to EE.

 

So if they sent out a batch today, EE & DPD can start to ship them out.

My wife has just had a text from ee to say her phone is with DPD and will be delivered soon - I ordered both mine and hers on Sunday 25th - 512 gb pro’s  - hers is gold and mine is silver - no news on mine yet but looks like they are receiving stock so seems positive!

Got an email this morning from EE saying my phone will be delivered tomorrow. Checked DPD app and it’s let me select a slot for tomorrow morning 🙂 The EE online tracker still says awaiting confirmation for delivery date.
