iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I’m on my iPhone 12 pro! Thanks EE! The battery is fine! Everyone stop complaining, I didn’t complain and I got the phone, maybe EE are making the complainers wait longer. I hope you all have to wait years hahahah

Just noticed that my delivery has now been updated to between the 2nd and 7th November. Not great but at least we aren’t in the dark anymore. I didn’t receiver a message or email, but just manually checked the update link. 

if anyone on here has committed to selling their current device/already sold it, it would be best to see if you can negotiate it being longer before having to make the decision to send it in or not.

Hi again everyone; I just reinstated my order but I feel a lot better knowing that it’s going to be two weeks then being made false promises. I was tempted to get the iPhone 12 (not Pro) as i could get it today in store but I knew that in two weeks when I know a Pro would have been delivered that I’d be kicking myself.

I hope those who stuck out the wait get them soon though!

@connorpowell i Too was tempted to just get the 12! I sold my XS MAX on Wednesday as I had all the assurances of delivery on the 23rd so I was tempted to just get it. But no point as you rightly said

I originally placed my order on the 16th @Kirstenshell just before 2pm and wasn’t received on launch day so I cancelled the order about two days ago because I was being told different things every time I contacted customer service.

I re-ordered today having thought over what to do and just decided to wait it out; but it’s so surprising how you feel when you get told the truth about when it will be arriving, I think the constant chopping and changing from management was the reason I cancelled initially but I’m happy with my decision to go for it again; especially having taken the two days to watch a lot of comparisons and unboxings on YouTube - I was tempted by the white iPhone 12 but I knew I’d regret it come November when I would have received my gold pro; especially with the offer than I managed to get on it 🙌🏼

@CaptainKway81  Yes it was so tempting especially considering if I would keep my 11 pro max as my work phone (as I work as a personal assistant, it would be nice to not receive work related calls over the weekend) and then have the 12 as my personal device but obviously decided to just hold out 😄 which one have you gone for? I’m always intrigued to what colours people choose and if they have any reason for it or if it’s just a preference! 😂

I will be cancelling mine tomorrow (IPhone 12 pro 256GB Blue) I’ve ordered it instead from Apple directly, 24 month plan at 0% £45.79pm..

Im gonna use a Smarty Sim, £10 for 30GB 

Seems a much cheaper option, plus I’m not tied to a particular network for 2 years, but the main reason for the change was I didn’t realise EE still sim lock their phones, I need to use my Vodafone work sim which I can esim now in the handset

I was going to do this but didn't as I don't think the pay as you go sims include 5G
