iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I just spoke to the customer relations department on 0800 079 0126 who’ve said they’ve only just today had an internal email saying there’s an issue. How did they not know before hand? I said the least they could do is let people know, she said they may do. She was lovely and all the customer service folk are, it’s just higher up in EE have no idea what to tell people so are just ignoring it.

She said no one is getting any of the phones until at least 14 days and even that is only an estimate, it could be much later than that still!

I would stay away from that sky operate something called swap24 where it is cheaper but it is also a 36 month contract, you can send the phone back on month 24 and get a new phone but it has to be working with no scratches or dints and they use it to pay off your remaining 12 months

Same here, you can get a new EE contract in a IPhone 12 pro for£50 down and £53 a month, if I go to upgrade its £239 down and £67 per month, loyalty isn’t in EE’s vocabulary , contract has only a few months to run so maybe a change my be on the cards

@Bodgeit1 Where have you seen that deal?

Can I ask ... did you order online or over the phone ... I’m wondering if the issues lie with a particular route of ordering.

I ordered mine via the website. They’ve refused to say there has been any issues but there clearly has been.

No 24 month contract

Hi everyone do yourselves a favour and either settle in for a long wait or cancel. Personally I’m cancelling I’ve been on the phone for over an hour trying to cancel and get a refund. If you want the new handset then do the math it’s actually cheaper to go direct to apple and then hand a sim only plan with the network of your choice.

good luck guys

I ordered mine through the web. When I complained she said you didn’t order until the 19th. I ordered mine on 16th at 1.30pm. I think the issue is through the web. They have to process it which I wasn’t aware of so next time phone them as soon as the ore-order goes live

@Slav1991  I did this; I cancelled yesterday evening and will be ordering the Max instead. It’ll be worth the wait as long as they don’t mess it up again.

?? No it's not. On Apple the pro starts from £41.62 the pro max £45.79 then plus a sim of at least £20. My plan is £57 a month £50 upfront cost for the pro
