iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I would be careful of anyone calling you because we were almost scammed last time I ordered a phone. They pretended to be from ee and somehow knew when my order should arrive, except they thought it hadn't arrived yet and were trying to intercept the order and pick it up themselves.

Ok, so, at best, EE’s pre-order process is inconsistent if different people get different confirmation emails. What model did you go for as that will obviously make a difference re availability? Mine is for the Pacific Blue 12 Pro 128GB

places like vodaphone you could pre-order up to as late as 10pm tonight and still get it tomorrow so what is EE playing at

@Gr3mlyn i think dpd might give people there slots first thing tomorrow morning as i think dpd work all night. i remember when i preorded the 7 plus i got the slot on the day

As I said, I’m basing what I said on what I’ve been told by CS, a CS manager and the Digital Sales team. The website and CS were still advising delivery on launch day when I ordered (and my initial confirmation email that came through almost immediately on Friday stated that I’d get it on launch day) yet I’m now (along with many others who had the same thing happen) facing a wait of two weeks (maybe more). Hopefully you do get it tomorrow - have you had an email or text from DPD?

I have spoke to a member of EE and they said that no phones are being dispatched until 8AM tomorrow so this is possible. not too sure but i thought dpd delivered every day of the week so if that's true no one should be waiting more than a few days. and if its the stock that's the problem why are they letting in so many pre-orders if they have not got the available stock secure.
what's the point of pre-ordering if your not gonna get it quick

So many people are saying so many different things right now I don't know what to believe
