iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

ordered mine on wednesday over the phone just after dinnertime. still got no dpd or ee dispatch notes, been on the phone to an adviser and he said that dpd are still collecting, god knows whats going on but i really hope it comes tomorrow

It’s ridiculous how many people are being told the same thing to have another rep say something so different. If it was a Saturday delivery or even Monday I could make peace with it.. but two weeks in addition to the days already waited is crap

£51 a month for the plan, mmm think I will buy sim free and stick to my sim only plan all pure speculation off course 🤔

Carriers tend to have this sort of "apple plan tax" and charge more for the plan on an apple device than an android device

An example of this:

IPhone 12 pro 256gb

100gb 1 benefit plan £86 p/m £50 upfront

£1099 sim free price

Samsung galaxy Note 20 Ultra 256gb

100gb 1 benefit plan £77 p/m £30 upfront

£1179 sim free price

You shouldn't have to pay more for a plan with an iPhone but this is what they do because the iPhone is more popular and they can charge extra

I've just rang them i ordered the same phone and they said it might not be tomo even though it sid it would be delivered on the 23rd

Same here apart from last year and this year on the dot I ordered mine which said at the time delivery on launch day but now saying it might not be

Ah ok - I see your point! I did mean to put  that anyone who had been promised delivery tomorrow but didn’t receive their 3 confirmation emails for a few days wouldn’t get their orders tomorrow - serves me right for trying to eat and type!

@iPhone1233   But this isn’t true for everyone either. 

Ordered friday at 2pm. Got one text (Saturday at 3.30) and one email (Saturday at 3.31) and mine is arriving tomorrow, it’s en-route to local delivery office.

@lred i can honestly tell you that i have the DPD tracking info showing a delivery date and time slot & confirmation email from EE that it’s on the way (& I’m not the only one on the thread) so what you’ve been told by whoever you’ve spoken to at EE doesn’t make sense
