iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

@Hurtgravythats good that DPD have given you the time already. Do they usually give you the time slot the day before?  Ours doesn't, never gives you the time slot until about 9am on the day of delivery, sometimes even a little later than that!

Anyone else upgrade to the 40gb tariff at pre-order? Noticed that its now 100gb?

Wonder if EE will change our tariff to match.. I'm guessing not.

I just want them to ship the thing 😂 called up and was told it’s been picked and it’s waiting to be passed onto DPD so here’s hoping I get the email soon saying it’s been collected!

Yes, there's an option to upgrade the delivery within the DPD app:

8:30 - 10:30 £10.00

8:30 - 12:00 £5.00

12:00 - 18:00 £5.00

I havent got a text from DPD yet but how does one get into the app? Do i need the tracking number?

If you have the DPD app and have put your contact details in, e.g. phone number, email address, whenever you have an order, from anyone, due to be delivered it comes through to the app via the contact method of your order (phone number, email address etc.).  I have received DPD tracking info via the app from retailers prior to having received a confirmation email or text, the only difference is it isn't a push notification until they send confirmation via text, email etc. so in those circumstances you just have to open the app and it updates.  Hope that makes sense.

You can just download the app and link it to your email address, so anything shipped to you will automatically apear when its allocated a tracking number

@matttherat30  Its handy on delivery day as you can see your driver on the map and it tells you how many deliveries they have before getting to you.

So prepare yourself to be your drivers number one stalker tomorrow 😄
