Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!
Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.
Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.
What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

This is a constant and deliberate policy by Apple.
It's been in effect since 2011/12 when I worked for EE and sold the iPhone 4/4S.
It goes something like this:
1 Create a demand and a buzz by leaks, peeks and 'I seen the prototype' afar being accidentally (on purpose) leaving a fully working prototype in a San Francisco cafe. Don't forget that Apple have the most surveillance and data harvesting system anywhere. All uses, calls logins and locations recorded..forget privacy its not the person who found it property.
2 Make sure there is as much hype as possible. Test reports, rumours with a grain of truth in it.
3 Make site the launch goes off with a bang with wall to wall media coverage.
4 DELIBERATELY LIMIT STOCK to keep both the demand and price sky high.
5 Apple stores will obviously fare a little better. But always full price and positively no discount.
6 FORGET 'I've been a loyal customer for almost 27 yrs since the days of Orange and I WANT a discount ! " It will not happen. Because there is very little initial money for EE and Apple have a absolute stranglehold on supplies. Any discounts...the reseller loses his stock replenishment.
6 Neither EE nor any other network has any leverage on Apple whatsoever. It is in fact the opposite way round. Apple could literally pull all their products from EE and it would make very little difference.
So if EE fail to get your phone to you it is highly unlikely to be their fault. Believe me, EE WANT the handsets but Apple's mode of operation may result in disappointment. Oh and these stunts were happening LONG before COVID-19.
Best of luck.

I ordered (upgraded) an iPhone 12 Pro 128 GB gold shortly after 13:00 last Friday.
I received the confirmation email with the XKO number but the upgrade fee was not taken.
I called them up today and they finally took the payment, but unfortunately I still cannot track the order.
I relay hope I get in on Friday!

Too be honest as long as it doesn’t take about 3 months to turn up like the 7 plus did I’ll be happy. After that experience I’m just happy to get it with a fortnight of when I think it’ll turn up. Mines still sat at “awaiting confirmation” but I’m not too worried as there are plenty of other things to worry about than a new handset.
stay safe everyone

Sucks don’t it , I don’t know why some people tracking says 23rd then others says later dates . But some just awaiting confirmation . Mine was ordered at 1.50pm on the Friday .

Just got a very welcome email from DPD that my iPhone 12 Pro 256GB in Pacific Blue will be delivered tomorrow.
I upgraded on Friday and went for the same config in graphite. I ended up changing the colour on Tuesday after being assured by two different people that this won't affect the delivery date.
Suffice to say, I wasn't too happy after I didn't see a confirmed date for delivery and was told there will be a two week wait (as I had just sold my previous phone).
Phew!
EDIT: Expected delivery date on the EE tracker is still on "awaiting confirmation"
