iPhone 12 Pro Max waiting time

I’m wondering has anyone received their iPhone 12 Pro Max recently? More specifically a gold 128GB one. It was ordered around the 20th of December, when I ordered I believe it said 7 days dispatch, then when I enquired I was told 14 days and my tracking updated to delivery between the 4th Jan and the 9th Jan. My tracker changed again to say dispatch expected in 24 hours but that was 72 hours ago and no change. I’m just trying to get a feel for when I will actually receive my phone.

Hi @eastendimages,

We've recently had a stock update for the model you ordered, hence the change in expected dispatch times on the website.

You should receive tracking information from DPD soon.

Thanks

James

I don’t understand the logic behind it. So, a person who orders today has a 7 day waiting time. How many more days has someone who ordered on the 2nd or 18th of December? 🙂

Look at me, I own mobile phones and routers ?

@eastendimages the logic is when you ordered 2 weeks ago it said 28 days.

They now have an updated information on orders coming in so have revised it.

The current wait is 7 days.

You are still only waiting 28 days.

The longer you wait the more stock that can become available. Its business. Apple are working round the clock to try get the backlog sorted.

You are in no way waiting longer than someone who is ordering today. You will still get your phone before them.

Lol, doubt it. If it’s true, then they shouldn’t promise 7 days delivery either, as it won’t happen. Too many fires to put out

The only way for this to work, would be to stop taking new orders.
you can’t predicts how many units will be ordered this week, so promising a 7 days delivery while people are already waiting over a month is nonsense. You either have stock or “Apple has problem with suppliers and there’s no stock”. Stick with one version, mate.

Look at me, I own mobile phones and routers ?

Doesn't seem that Apple have issues now - no back order on Apple's end, you can actually have one this week!

I have checked every online phone store I can think of and each and every one of them have them in stock ready for next day delivery, doesn’t seem like it’s an Apple problem at all, it seems like it’s a problem somewhere with EE. I’m a bit anxious to have switched from a different provider to EE now.

I'm also on the Sky Forum

They are having the same issues.

It's an Apple issue.

Interesting. Is this why those who upgraded to Samsung S20 and were promised a next day delivery end up here too?💁‍♂️

Look at me, I own mobile phones and routers ?

What does the S20 got to do with this?
