Can’t access internet from iPad,it shows 4G at the top along with good signal strength. Every time it tries to Monte the there is a white circle of death indicating it is searching. There is plenty of credit available. I have taken sim out and put back in, reset network settings and tried from numerous locations with no joy

Its a brand new ipad which work perfectly well with an iPhone sim just doesn’t work when the ee sim is used so i put the fault down to this sim

Yes that would seem logical.  Out of interest is your iPhone sim with EE too?

No virgin but it works fine ee doesn’t work

Hi @Newcastleandy

It may be worth speaking to our Technical Support team so that they can look into this for you.

Chris

So I have to spend ages on the phone at probably a premium rate to resolve this issue,

to recap the SIM card doesn’t work in a brand new iPad, when I put another carriers SIM card in it works fine and I can access everything.

it seems that I will have to write the Credit I have off and find a service provider that SIM card actually ,  not impressed at all

Is the iPad locked to the other network, @Newcastleandy? You may need to have it unlocked in order to use an EE SIM in it.

Chris

Calls to EE C/S for PAYG issues are charged at a flat 25p per call. No-one's suggesting your credit will be lost.

Has this EE PAYG SIM ever worked in this tablet previously? If not, then a SIM-lock is a distinct possibility.

All sorted by technical team thanks for your help

Good stuff, @Newcastleandy. Do you know what they did to fix it?

Chris

They reactivated sim and all sorted
