data sim not working in new outdoor router

Recently upgraded to a new outdoor router as the indoor one does not have enough signal strength. Put in the same EE data sim to the new outdoor router and  I can connect to router via phone or computer but there is no internet on either. Put in my EE phone sim and it works fine so for some reason its not recognising the data sim?

Is it a brand new SIM? Does it work if you put it in your phone?

Limited IT knowledge so set up as directed and can get a WiFi signal  but no internet. Have tried sim on other devices and works fine. It's an outdoor router Mimi ezr33
