I purchased the phone on Facebook, i even went to the seller's house, checked it out first, then paid. All was well for 2 days and then the phone no service. I have conversation included the name of the person and address, would this protect me from my phone being blacklisted Alternatively as the seller live far from me and block me from Facebook, if I go pay to EE all money left on this person and remove the blacklist, I guess that person is reported as stolen and she paid it and get money and this not right for me and EE.
saler name :xxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxx
address xxxxxxx xxxx xxx
door no:x
imei number of phone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
best whises

@abedali : This is a common fraud where sellers sell a phone under contract & then stop paying EE for it. EE will only un-blacklist it for the original owner, not you.
To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone
ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

@abedali It’s not right for you. The seller probably has insurance and made a claim on that insurance. Your only option is to report this to the police as it is fraud.

EE is probably already chasing the seller for what they owe. The fraud was upon you.

Hi @abedali,
Welcome to the EE Community.
Sorry, our Customer Care Team won't be able to discuss the original owners account with you for data protection reasons.
If you are unable to contact the original owner and the phone has been blacklisted, please report it to the police.

Try calling CS on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2 > option 4) . That won't ask for an EE mobile no.
