Hi all,
I have a SIM only contract from EE, and recently bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max on Facebook Marketplace. The phone was fine for a few days but lost signal and showed up as blacklisted by EE. I contacted the seller who initially responded and undertook to resolve the issue. Then they stopped responding.
I pretty much know I have been conned here but would like to report the issue to EE so that they can reduce the risk of the seller claiming on insurance. I have tried to report this to EE, not to get the blacklist lifted which I acknowledge won't happen for me, but to stop the scam proceeding. However, anyone I have spoken to on live chat does not appear to understand what I am trying to do.
Does anyone have any advice on how I should report this to EE?

As EE has blacklisted it it is already aware of it.

You need to report this to the police not EE as you're a victim of crime.
Informing EE is pointless as they are just the mobile carrier. The criminal will have phone insurance elsewhere so EE cannot do anything.
Thanks
