I believe I am trying to do the same as you. Saw EE had them in stock (apparently), need a new phone too and thought why not. But it just keeps telling me to add services or join the community etc.
You can't buy an accessory from EE until you have an EE mobile number.

I tried to buy a new phone through the site but the Xbox which is apparently available isn't showing as an add on. But shows as available to buy from the gaming section, till you get to here. But I understand that, so thanks @XRaySpeX
