Wrong apple ID on my new phone

Weaver27
Visitor

My upgrade iphone has arrived, but it seems to be expecting my husband's apple ID - it keeps prompting me to finish setting up with the Apple ID and password - but it want's his, not mine. When I get into settings, it has all my details, but the prompts with the wrong ID keep coming. How can this be sorted out, please?

(For background, I used to have a phone on my husband's EE business account, but I detached from that a while back so I run my own contract - but it looks as though something in the set-up has persisted).

Hello @Weaver27 ,

Welcome to the community,

I suggest you ring customer service to get this sorted and check why this has happened, the other thing you can take a look at your Apple account to make sure everything is correct, do this by logging in on Apple website.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

@Weaver27  The only way this can happen is if the device was setup on his Apple account.  Login to your husbands Apple account and remove the device from his account you’ll then be free to set it up on your Apple account.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

If this was a new device it would not be setup under another account normally. Setting up the Apple ID is not normally the first bit you do.

As Chris said, the only way to get it off his account is to login to his account setup the device then remove it from his account then reset the device.
