Wifi calling on other devices keeps stopping working

HI - I have successfully had wifi calling on other devices working with my Mac. Worked beautifully even with my phone turned off.

However, it stops working every month or so and calls go via my phone rather than directly by wifi.

I haven't changed any of the settings on my phone or Mac.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Colin

@mcgillca  Unfortunately this is perfect, I’ve even had my watch still ringing when I’ve answered my phone.   I turn this option off for my Mac/iPad and then back on when I start up those devices. I don’t leave it on all the time.  It’s not ideal but it works as for my watch I just don’t use it on that.

Hmm, I've a feeling you may have tried this already, but check your iPhone and in Mobile Data ensure Wi-Fi Calling is On.

Also check the 'Calls on other Devices' option. This item sits just under 'Wi Fi Calling'.

You should see it enabled (On) and will also see a list of all the devices you are allowing calls on. Are they all checkboxes green and are they all listed there?

If not -- that's your problem.

Good luck!!

Thank you both.

I have checked everything - I suspect it might be something at EE. For no reason at all today (at least, nothing that I had done), I had a message saying that WiFi calling was available on my Mac and did I want to turn it on.

Its working fine just now, but comes and goes - but I'm changing nothing!
