I have a samsung S10. I still am unable to get wifi calling and texting. I try several different wifi routers at peoples houses and offshore on the oil rigs and nothing works. Everytime it just prompts me to turn off flight mode to make the call then obviously doesnt work as the phone is just wanting flight mode off so it can use the usual method of phone signal to make the call. Wifi Calling Is ENABLED in my phone settings but nothing happens.
Thanks for any help guys it driving me nuts as i need it due to working away half the in the middle of the north sea with no phone reception i need the wifi calling/texting to work to authenticate payments on paypal etc.

Hi @Mlyon89
Firstly is your S10 phone EE-supplied? Although SIM-free Android devices are a lot better than they used to be in terms of VoWiFi support and generally should work, EE can only officially support phones that they have supplied.
Secondly, WiFi-calling is only intended for use in the UK, and although can sometimes work abroad it certainly isn't meant to be - so if you're using a broadband network with a non-UK IP address, that's something else to eliminate.
Taking all that aside, if you're within the UK, have an EE-supplied phone with flight mode enabled, and a proven-working WiFi-internet connection, it should work fine - providing the WiFi/broadband is of sufficient quality.
I'm a little perplexed by your reference to the phone prompting you to switch flight mode off. It sounds as though this isn't so much the usual "phone thinks VoLTE is sufficient, I disagree" situation for which flight-mode is a workaround, as your phone flatly refusing to use the wifi-calling service. Which sends me full circle to whether it's an EE-supplied device.
Have you tried toggling the wifi-calling switch off/on when you're on a proven working internet connection?

Thanks for the fast response!
It is an EE supplied pay monthly phone contract i am on.
The only thing there i can see that youve mentioned that may cause an issue is the oil rig that im working ons Wifi connection may be connected through another server that is not UK. So that might be whats happening on that side of things.
I'll try toggling the setting on and off etc. Ive tried the phone in safe mode as suggested in other forum subjects that has worked for other people on here. But that still didnt work. So it maybe is just that i am in the middle of the north sea right now thats causing the issue with the wifi connection potentially being foreign.
Thanks for the response!

Hi @Mlyon89
EE WiFi calling is only available in the UK, so if your internet is via a foreign land connection not in the UK then it won't work.
Thanks
