WiFi mini top up

Hi

Can anyone help? I have a 4GEE WiFi Mini (as well as a normal phone contract) and need to top it up for the first time (it came with some data which has now expired). However, when I enter the phone number on line, it's not recognised. Do I need to add the mini WiFi to my existing account so that I can top up via the app when needed (if so, how?) or do I need to buy a new SIM data package? I can't see an answer anywhere!

Many thanks

@Sooz2910 : You can use Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card.

MyEE doesn't work for registering PAYG MBB devices or at least those with data SIMs. It stops at telling you to connect your device & login to it, but when you've done as instructed it doesn't have anywhere for you to say you've done it.

You may continue using your device but you just can't register it to MyEE.

Go to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status from the device will tell you your usage.

Go to http://add-on.ee.co.uk/purchase from the device to buy add-ons.

After further unsuccessful attempts to top up the data for my mini WiFi, we visited the local EE shop and later, because we thought the info we were given couldn't possibly be correct, phoned 150 to speak to an advisor. Upshot is, it is no longer possible to just top up, even though the top-up card is apparently valid until 2023 - you have to buy a new mini WiFi for around £80 and enter a monthly contract for data ( I was quoted £18 for 15GB per month). We just need occasional use, when staying in our caravan for periodic trips over a 4-5 month period in the summer, to supplement our phone data allowances so this is stupidly expensive. As the advisor admitted, we're basically stuck and the system we bought is no longer financially viable. Oh and the mini WiFi is locked to EE so we can't even buy a data sim from elsewhere. Not happy.

If you can't just buy an add-on for it, why not just buy a 90-day EE PAYG data SIM for it?
