WiFi calling has worked seamlessly for 3 years but now disappears one day, back the next. Any ideas?

Hi @Cyrus20
It only connects when you have a low to zero network signal. You must be receiving a network signal.
Thanks

Hi @Cyrus20
As per @Northerner advice - when you don't have a WiFi-calling symbol, are you able to make or receive calls and send/receive text messages?

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I know how it works, I’ve been using it daily for 3 years and I know how to get WiFi calling to be stable with weak/fluctuating cell phone signal. My questions are... Is it possible EE has a problem? Is anyone else experiencing the same issue in the last 2 or 3 days?

Sometimes ‘yes’, and it works with a flaky cell phone symbol (I understand this from 3 years use) but in the last 3 Days when WiFi calling refuses to make an appearance I usually get ‘no service’. Thanks for applying your mind to my problem.

Sorry to the two folk who are helping. I’m new here. I don’t know how to reference your name in my reply.

Whenever I've had issues with WiFi-calling not kicking in when it otherwise should, it's always ended up being one of two things.
The WiFi-hotspot/broadband network I'm connected to, has issues. Nothing EE can do about that!
My phone has a software gremlin - reboots solve that.
And no, there's been no national fault with WiFi-calling the last few days.

Thanks Bristolian. You’re probably right, if it’s not EE it’s one of those other 2 things. I was trying to eliminate something. I rebooted phone and did other things. I rebooted the router but haven’t had the opportunity to use another WiFi network yet. Anyway right now it’s back without me doing anything. I know it’s not the phone picking up a weak network because on the iPhone you can activate Airplane mode with WiFi which eliminates that annoying side effect. Thank you.

Thank you to Bristolian and Northerner. My problem isn’t fixed but mysteriously it has gone away without me doing anything, at least it’s gone away for now. I’m feeling slightly concerned it may reappear and I still have no idea what the issue is.
