I had a text message to say check cap on account. WHY? It is capped as it should be. What was the reason for sending the text?

Hi @VJP
It's likely an automatically generated message when you reach a certain point.
Thanks

It's obviously an auto message but I set a cap of £0.00 some time ago and have not changed anything since.

I set the cap up about 4 months ago and it's still the same, £0.0 cap on picture messages.

Hi @VJP,
Could you have attempted a chargeable action on your phone that prompted the message?

I did turn the phone on for 5 minutes in Gambia to receive a text confirmation code (successful) but that is only thing I can think of. If I did do something inadvertently why on earth can't EE say what it is. The link given tells you nothing.

Hi @VJP,
The message would have been triggered when you connected to a roaming network, as a reminder that you wouldn't be able to make any chargeable calls or texts unless you altered your spend cap.
I'm sorry for any confusion caused.

Would have been much better for EE to have said that in text message, I wouldn't have wondered what it was about and wasted your time and mine here!
