Upgrading to new phone but the phone is not in stocm

Hey, im looking to upgrade to a new Samsung s21 but I've been told its not in stock anywhere. If I was to upgrade through the website and keep the same number will I still be able to receive calls and texts on my existing device whilst I wait for my new phone to arrive or will I stop getting service on the device once the new contract starts? Also would the new contract start before I receive the new phone?

Hello @bryan_m

Welcome to the community

While you're waiting for an upgrade phone to be delivered, you can continue to use your existing phone. Once it is delivered, and if your existing SIM still works and fits in your new phone, then you should just use that in your new phone.

So you will only stop using your existing phone when you're ready to use your new phone.

Hi @bryan_m

Thanks for coming to the community 🙂

I can see you've had some great advice from @bristolian

Just to add, your plan will change for you once the phone has been dispatched.

Thanks.

Leanne.
