Unable to make or receive calls after upgrading

Have just upgraded to an iPhone XR and cannot make or receive calls. Switched it off and on still not working

Does the SIM from your old phone fit in your new phone?

If yes, are you using that SIM?

If no, have you registered the new SIM at new SIM Activation ?

If you put the SIM back in your old phone, does it show signal?
