Unable to connect iPhone 12 mini to my car?

Hi, can anyone help as I am unable to connect my new iPhone 12 mini to my car radio? I have a 14 plate Peugeot 208 with no CarPlay system but a hands free radio system that I am unable to connect my new phone on the same number to. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

@charbabes99   Have you put the hands free system in to search mode ?

@Chris_B @I have tried syncing it all and it keeps saying unable to connect as my device may not be compatible. I was just wondering if the new iPhones only worked with CarPlay, as if so then I’m sending this back and going back to a SIM only contract.

@charbabes99  If you was using a different iPhone before this then this should work also.
