Transfer my number to EE

I have completed the transfer my number form and have been met by the error message that it does not recognise my new EE number (says it needs to start 07 and be a UK number).

 

Is there a reason why EE does not recognise the number and is there an alternative mechanism of porting my new number across to EE?

I have now contacted the 150 number and we have setup the transfer of the old phone over the phone.

Problem is still present. I cannot believe that 2 mths later the isuue is not resolved yet... I have had the same problem with 2 different no.
