Trade in -activation lock

I’m just preparing my Apple iPhone for trade in and want to be sure I’ve removed the activation lock. Does anyone know how I do this please? Thanks 😊

@MillyC619  on that device you what to go to settings>General>Transfer or reset and click erase all content and settings.  This will remove that device from your Apple account.
