Terrible mobile data speeds after upgrading

I previously had an IPhone XS with 4g on the EE network and it was great. I could connect my PS4 to it and get 30mb/s download and it rearly dropped down to 3g around the house.

 

I recently upgraded to the IPhone 12 Pro Max with 5G on the EE network and it’s not great. In the exact same house and room I can connect my PS4 to it and only get 8mb/s download. Plus even when my phone says I’m getting 5G it struggles to load up a new page on safari. I struggle getting 4G in my house now let alone 5G.

 

somehow this upgrade has made my mobile data signal and strength dramatically worse.

@Masoone I’m assuming you have you tried changing the settings within Settings>Mobile Data>Mobile Data Options>Voice & Data ?   Try just having it set to 4G only then restart the device.   It might even be worth trying a network reset on the device.  

 Also try the settings in data mode.
