Switched SIM to new phone and now monthly data not showing

My son has just got a new phone as he broke his last one. Bought same iPhone model (secondhand), unlocked, and put SIM in new phone but his data balance of 18gb isn’t registering. I’ve checked on EE account and the data is showing there. Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Changing the phone doesn't impact your data allowance or SIM. 

 

Or are you talking about he cannot use the internet? Have you tried restarting your network settings on the phone?
