If you're on Pay as you go, all networks have an inactivity period which means if you do not use your service such as a chargeable call or text or data, your service will be disconnected and you will lose your number.

It's the same process with all networks. I believe the inactivity period is 90 days with EE.

Unfortunately you do need to use your service or you will lose it.

Ofcom puts service providers under pressure for managing telephone numbers responsibly and this means disconnecting numbers and recycling them if they aren't being used.

Each network has an inactivity period of between 90 and 180 days and this has been the case since Pay as you go was launched right back in 1997.

Hi @Oly88 ,

Was this a pay-monthly contract and you called them to give 30 days' notice to end the contract?
