I recently joined EE with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and watch series 7 bought from apple. I purchased a pay monthly SIM only deal. This has been set up as esim, phone works fine but when I go into the Apple Watch app and try to set up a data plan I get this error in the watch app itself.
I contacted support who said “try again in a few hours and call back”….
I have tried on 4g, WiFi etc to reach the landing page but still get the same error?
any ideas?

The error I get is “connection to the server lost” when clicking set up mobile data plan in the watch app
