I have arranged for a return to send a phone back I have recently upgraded because I just don’t get on with it, I have received the bag. Do I need to send the new sim they sent out too? They sent me a new one because the new phone is 5G enabled where as the old one wasn’t?
thanks

Hi @Clo356
There's no such thing as a 4G-SIM or a 5G-SIM, all EE SIMs are quite capable of working with all radio technologies from 2G>5G. EE often supply a replacement SIM with upgrade phones incase, for whatever reason, there is a problem with your existing SIM.
It is your plan & device combination that enables access to 5G.
Standard advice is, that if your existing SIM works in a new phone and fits, then that is the best thing to do.
If you are still using your existing SIM and have not changed, then I can't see it really makes any difference whether you return the "new" SIM or not. You can keep it as a spare, or return it if you'd prefer.

@Clo356 If you new sim is working with your number attached to it then you need to keep it as your tariff will change back to the one you had before you upgraded once EE process the return device.
