Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Wow! @sima ! Congratulations! I must say I was inclined not to believe that you made the right choice yesterday. 

 

I'm also wondering why I have not received my order for the same 128gb in grey but they managed to get you one yesterday!

 

My disappointment with the situation and the way we have been treated knows no bounds. I am so terribly disappointed!

Congrats, can I ask. When did you order your phone, and was it online or in a shop?

 

I ordered mine on the 6th and still waiting on an update. Still showing "Awaiting Confirmation" mine is the 128GB too on Grey.

@Leanne_T the 42 days longer is appreciated.

 

But the point I was making in my post is the fact nobody has been told the same thing. Every single one of us should have had it explained to us what was happening and the fact we would have months to wait before we recieved the product. And when ordered knowing they were out of stock explained to us this would be the outcome. Instead your EE phone colleagues and online teams have been so interested in filling themselves and EEs pockets the customer hasnt been the priority with communication and truth. And many have had to deal with money lost and most importantly NO PHONE in the middle of a crisis.

 

 

An update on my situation, pre ordered the grey 128 ultra, 5th march in a store. Contacted EE to see what would happen as stores are closed, they said someone would be in touch to arrange delivery to my address as stores are closed

 

Received a call yesterday from upgrades asking if i still wanted my phone, ofcourse said yes so the girl ran through what i had been offered so i could sign my contract etc.

 

Turns out what was on their system was not what i was offered and agreed to in store. I got offered 60gb of data free case and screen protector and £60 toward my early upgrade fee and also no upfront (which would have been £300) if i trade my s9+

 

The girl on the phone said dont know why i was offered that as they couldnt do that deal they could only offer me 30gb and no screen protector n case and nothing toward my early upgrade fee.

 

While discussing with her she said if i waited for the stores to open id lose my pre order place and lose the buds too so this kind of swayed me to cut my losses and just take what she offered to keep the buds and my place in the queue as she gauranteed id get my phone in the next 2 weeks (wary of that comment).

 

After thinking about it ive contacted EE again as im not happy about it and waiting on a call back

 

Why would the store offer me something totally different 🤔🤔

@MsBoro Honestly i was so damn fed up with waiting i lost my buds but i just didn't care i can buy them tbh and its actually all dependent on the stock its as they say i think the grey will come out within the next two weeks they have black ones ready to be sold just call and change it to that tbh

@MadMacs Hello, so i preordered the 512 on the 6th March got fed up called EE last night  so 30th march i told them i wanted the 128 black cause i was fed up waiting on the 512 and interesting how yours still hasn't been given to u since i know people whos ordered after the 6th and got theirs weird id call them and see

Order slip not accepted on mine had to ring for a email with date of order as not on delivery note ! Even had problems with that at first like Samsung couldn't read ! But soon validation was confirmed after 3rd attempt Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

First time poster and have been following this thread since day one and had a lot of similar experiences over the phone and live chat.

 

Pre ordered 512gb on 23/02 and finally decided to change to 128gb after being told politely by an advisor, due to current circumstances to not hold my breath with regards to getting the 512gb anytime soon - tbh I appreciated the honesty. Changed on 28/03 and arrived today.

 

I really had my sights set on the 16gb ram however having read up on it, it really is not beneficial or even future proofing anything! Unless you run a lot of demanding apps and need to keep them open. I can use the micro SD slot for additional storage (not bothered about the minimal load times between phone storage and card storage).

 

Also, having come from the IPhone 11 Pro Max (and Apple since original Iphone), I absolutely love this phone and its interface. 

 

I was also able to get validated for the buds using my original pre order email from 23/02 (the one I cancelled on 28/03)
