I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.
i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Gooner7 yep is just an automated message. They will send you one each every 7 days after ordering.

In the grand scheme of current affairs, yes, I'm still disappointed that I have not received my order and I place the responsibility for that at the door of EE and Samsung. Not at COVID19. I will be very reluctant to pre-order with EE again as this is the first time such an issue has occurred.
I guess it'll be here when it's here now, and I hope anyone involved in the logistics and delivery of it are considered ahead of a new phone, that's not essential.
On the plus side hopefully there will be a few Firmware updates available for when it eventually does arrive thanks to all the lucky early adopters.
To add insult to injury, I received a text from EE asking me to make the most of my new device by adding a smartwatch...lol 🤣

I ordered mine 5th march, and not had any updates since.... and looks like by the time it arrives I'll miss the deadline for the free buds+

I believe thwy have extended that mate so don't worry

@Gooner7 where did you find that out mate? A big selling point for me to pre-order was the free buds too so I'll be hacked off if I miss the deadline!

You can make your claim any time between 10th March and 30th May 2020 they might make it longer but that it at the moment.

FOR THOSE WHO ORDERED IN SHOPS
I've just phoned EE (150 > phone >upgrades, a minute wait only), I've asked them to move my order from local shop to home delivery. The process took only a few minutes, I received a link through SMS to accept the new contract, paid the upgrade fee through them.
Now, the main point was to keep the preorder date for the free Galaxy Buds+ with Samsung. The agent that took my call said they would move the order up the line (according to the preorder date) and will supply the proof of the preorder when needed for Samsung.
Finally, they said about a possible wait of 14 days but that it could be also coming anytime before. Wait and see for this.
Edit --
I've already received an email from the agent that states the initial preorder date (15/02/20), as proof for Samsung.
Also, my order is for a S20 Ultra 512Gb grey, that's why we'll see if and when it arrives.

@77cats not necessarily true in all cases - mine is being done in store because they are transferring my friend's family/friends discount, so if I call 150 there isn't even a pre-order against my account!
I asked the guys in store about this and they said if they put the pre-order against my account, I would be charged for it before I had the phone and no discount would be applied!
Gonna be a long a$$ wait! But still, bigger things going on in life, the s10+ will fight another few weeks/months.
Random question for everyone else, who is paying what for their Ultras? With discount mine is £65 a month for 60gb data, unlimited texts/calls, no upfront cost (black 128GB model).
