I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.
i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Anyone else because of the £10 off price plan text, I had from EE it’s itself, decided to get the active 2 watch really works out an extra £4 more than you was actually going to pay

I think this is bad communication completely by EE which they are half to blame for - I was promised I'd receive my phone before 15th March without a doubt and then next day I contacted them again as I knew it wouldn't be true.
Turns out I was right! They put a complain in for the last advisor that told me I'd receive it before the 15th and they said I should receive it before 24th instead and now they have no clue... if they had no stock then it's better than telling your customers that so then they can plan their lives accordingly rather than be told false hopes. Honestly I've contacted them nearly every day with different results. Hope to still get it before 25th max.

Stop moaning! When you pre order on everything it’s first come first served weather you like it or not! It’s life

@Beany96 The reason we are moaning because EE are playing around, if they stick to one date / we aren't sure currently then that's fine by me. But if they say I will receive it before a certain date then they end up saying 'Actually you won't' it's a little unfair.

Like it or not, the coronavirus is having an impact on the supply chain for many companies. I see this in this order
1) The first shipment of S20 devices to EE maybe impacted by the coronavirus. This could be at the manufacture or somewhere in the logitcis supply chain. I imagine they are keeping EE up to date, however much of this will be out of their control.
2) In terms of pre-orders it will be a first come first serve basis. The date you have been given is their best estimate of a delivery date and is subject to change, particular with point 1 having an impact. Annoying if its later than you have been told and of course you have a right to cancel and go elsewhere.
3) So far, the early sales report of the S20 devices is lower than expected. Again could be due to the virus or simply a low demand for the phone. This is good news as there should be higher availability.
4) Speculation of how EE manage their business systems isnt going to make the phone come any quicker. Let's all pray to the Samsung phone god that some kind of divine interventions speeds our new phones to us and hopefully with a nice £10 a month discount (i sadly didnt get that message ... ha ha)
5) A lot of the EE staff will be in the same boat we are. Often the supply chain update the customer service teams with the latest info. This can change throughout the day, which means you may get what seems to be conflicting messages.
